What’s a PDF?
We sometimes provide information in PDF format.
PDF (which is an acronym for Portable Document Format) is a common file format developed by Adobe Systems. It allows people with different computer systems to view information or pages in a formatted manner, even if they don’t own a copy of the program in which the page was first created.
PDF files are particularly good for information that you might want to print out and take with you. We tend to use it for maps, brochures or for information that may be provided to us by a third party, such as the Township or Region.
In order to view and print a PDF file you will first need to download and install a copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader. It’s free and you can get it here.
